Description: Hike, Paddle & Camp in Eastern NC-Alligator River Day1- Plan to leave Greensboro area around 7am. Arrive at Kilkenny Farms around noon-1 pm. We then will set up base camp and tour the property on an easy 8+ mile hike through Hyde Cnty's wilderness to view the wildlife. Day2-This 11+-mile paddle will be through Pocosin Wildlife Refuge and Emily & Richardson Preyer Buckridge Coastal Reserve along the Alligator River. Day3- We will be exploring the remote waters of the Southwest Fork of the Alligator River, paddling 8+ miles through the Lantern Acres Gameland. After the last Day, you can either head back home or stay the night and then head back. If you chose not to camp during this trip, the towns of Columbia, and Fairfield have motels, small inns and a couple restaurants. You will have to make your own reservations for the motels. This adventure is guaranteed to see wildlife! If you are interested, have questions please contact me no later than March 23.
